COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND
INFORMATION
The primary focus of the
Community
Education Department is to promote fire and life
safety -- primarily among Shoreline's school age
children.
The mission of public education
is to reduce unintentional injuries and the loss
of life and property from fire, accidents and
natural disasters by increasing public awareness
to hazards and how to mitigate them. To accomplish these goals
our Public Information Officer organizes,
schedules and maintains a range of programs for
people of diverse age groups and cultural
backgrounds.
The Public Information Officer
also works with the news media and serves as the
Shoreline Fire Department spokesperson at fire
and emergency scenes.
Did we mention having fun? Community
Education is all about children and keeping them
safe. If you have questions about teaching
your children to be safe around fire, in the
car, in the pool, or when home alone...just
contact us!
If you would like to do
any of the following, please contact
Community Education.
** Take a CPR class
** Inquire about CERT
** Schedule a tour of a fire
station or classroom visit.
** Schedule a Fire Extinguisher
class
** Ask us anything!
