Safety Center Now Open!
The Safety Center is hosting
groups of 15 or fewer for one hour educational
and play sessions targeted to 3 to 5 year olds.
Shoreline Fire’s mission includes community
education programs that promote fire and life
safety for families. We hope a visit to the
Safety Center is a memorable experience for your
child – and that it motivates your family to
plan for fire emergencies that could occur in
your home.
Make your reservation today! No charge to
Shoreline residents.
Please call 206-533-6564 or email
Community Education to schedule your visit.
The Safety Center is located in the vintage
firehouse at 1851 NW 195th Street in Richmond
Beach. Parking is limited. Please
carpool if possible.

The Safety Center is a cooperative project of
the Shoreline Fire Department, the Shoreline
Firefighters Association, and the Shoreline
International Association of Firefighters (IAFF)
Local 1760.
SAFETY CENTER MURAL
Muralist Aime Palmer, of
Shoreline, created the artwork for the Shoreline Fire Department's Fire Safety Center
located in Richmond Beach. The mural was commissioned by the Shoreline International Association of Firefighters Local 1760 -- as a backdrop for children who get their picture taken sliding down the child-sized fire pole
(shown at right). Palmer, a professional artist and set designer, can be contacted via her company,
scenicpeaches@juno.com.
