VOLUNTEER
OPPORTUNITY: RECEPTIONIST
The Shoreline Fire Department is seeking
volunteers to add to our newly created pool to
serve in the capacity of Receptionist.
Volunteers for this position will assist in
answering multi-line phones, transferring calls
and greeting visitors. Additional
responsibilities may include: data entry,
correspondence and other administrative duties
based on a volunteer’s skill set. Must be
professional, confidential, reliable, and
possess excellent customer service skills.
Location:
Volunteers will be located at Shoreline Fire
Department Headquarters Station 61, located at
17525 Aurora Avenue North, Shoreline,
Washington 98133.
Hours:
Reception Office Hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm
Monday through Friday. The Volunteer pool may be
utilized for on-call and pre-planned
situations. Hours vary and are flexible within
the work day.
This is a great community service opportunity
for college students who would like to gain more
experience and retirees or others who would like
the opportunity to interact with the general
public in an office setting.

Volunteer Receptionist
Individuals expressing an interest in
participating in our voluntary pool program will
be asked to complete an application. The
Department will be selecting 5-6 individuals for
the pool. Letters of interest from individuals
not selected will be maintained on file to fill
vacancies in the pool as they occur.
Once established, pool volunteers will be
contacted as opportunities arise for you to
volunteer your time.
Note: Depending on the duties performed,
volunteer may be required to submit to a
